I know I recently posted about trying to juggle the rigors of the day…work, school, after school, social, house…it can be a mess at times.  At the very least, there’s a feeling of being frazzled and the faint feeling of forgetting something.  On top of all that, the question of exercise and healthy diet. You know the drill…when do you fit working out into the schedule.  And how to you maintain proper caloric intake (re: not be a fatty).  It really is tough to do.

The last couple of months, I’ve completely abandoned both sides of the equation.  I can’t seem to get back in the groove, particularly given that I hate mornings and exercise seems to mean getting up an hour earlier.  Couple that with going out with friends, holiday parties, hectic non-cooking schedules, and overall lack of will power at the moment.

All tolled, up about 12 pounds since July!!  Nice, huh?  I am not the guy that can’t exercise or eat decently and maintain my weight.  I sniff it and I gain it.  Simple as that.  About 3 years ago, I love 62 pounds in 6 mos. and felt awesome.  I maintained within 5 pounds that weight until summer.  Now, I need to drop about 20 pounds to get back to my low.  What a terrible feeling, but I can’t seem to get off the schneid.

It’s really frustrating since I can see the difference in how my clothes fit, etc.  I just need to suck it up, go to be earlier and get busy.  I was like a rock for a while and good for a long time after.  Either working out and eating well, or one of the two.  I can’t win with not doing either.  It’s funny that’s it’s so tough, since it feels so good to be really fit and trim.

I know I’m not the only one facing this issue.  Let me hear you.  How do you deal with it?  How do you motivate and get in the zone? Holla if ya hear me.
