Every year, Mother’s Day comes and I quiver in fear and loathing. I have to be honest. I NEVER know what to get my wife who has everything and more. Flowers…allergic, chocolate…doesn’t like, jewelry…doesn’t wear. We are very lucky for sure, but it makes it tough to give a great gift!
What can the kids and I do to make mom feel special and appreciated? That’s really what it’s all about, right? Forget all those material goods! I was wracking my brain trying to think of something fantastic…but the clock as ticking. What could possibly do the job? Help me, please!
I turned to the internet, the haven for all the information, both useful and useless, in the universe. I found something very useful indeed. Did you know that according to an online survey conducted by the company, more than four out of five moms surveyed (85 percent) say that the bulk of household cleaning falls to them and more than one third (34 percent) of moms stated that hiring someone to help clean the house is actually more of a necessity than a luxury? I bet you kind of thought it, but the numbers really speak for themselves. It’s no wonder that two-thirds (67 percent) of moms surveyed say the best Mother’s Day present they could get would be having someone clean the house for them.
A ha…I think we have a contender!
Both of us work hard and long on the businesses and juggling all that goes with that. It really makes is difficult at times to focus on cleaning and household chores. With all this in mind, I was just about elated to to work with the very awesome Merry Maids, the nation’s leading home cleaning company, to give Vera exactly what she and so many other exhausted moms really want…the gift of a clean home and a break from everyday chores so she can enjoy more treasured moments with family!!!
