High Brew Cold Brew Coffee Is Better

High Brew

I’m always on the hunt for some new and delicious coffee beverages. This could be at a local coffee house, a national chain, a cool gourmet food shop, or the local mega supermarket. As with every other type of food, there seems to be more and more awesome options popping up as more and more people and purveyors seek to bring us the new, the artisan, and the local.

One drink I recently came across the I really liked was a can of High Brew Cold Brew Coffee. From the hipster confines of Austin, Texas, their tagline is “Better, Not Bitter.” I like the message and I like the product more.

First, what’s cold brew? Here’s High Brew’s Take on Cold Brew 101:

Now that we got that out of the way…the product. The coffee had a great taste, as some cold brews really do not. Even as most cold brews talk about being smooth and not bitter, High Brew seems to finally deliver. There are variety of flavors, but I tried the original formula dubbed “Double Espresso.” This has some milk and just a touch of sugar. I normally like only black coffee or coffee and cream, but this was so faint that I really enjoyed it. It was only 50 calories for the entire can, too. It was the right amount of milk, sugar, and coffee…and pretty much guilt free. Next up…the black coffee version.

Online, a 4 pack costs about $15, 12 pack would be $40. Sure, it’s a bit pricey, but not much more than a trip to the local shop. I found it at my local Fairway. This is more convenient, too. It’s a nice treat every once in a while. I’m a big fan. let me know if you are able to find it and give it a shot.
