Best Buy Is Rocking With GE’s New Slate Finish Appliances

Vera and I are in the process of looking for a new house and it pretty much seems to every house we look at needs a huge facelift, especially in the kitchen. We are also looking at new options. While we do like stainless steel, we are always on the lookout for something equally stylish and sophisticated that might be a little different.

So far, the front runner seems to be the new GE Appliances at Best Buy that rock the premium Slate finish. GE’s New Slate Finish is pretty slick, actually. While it’s inspired by stone, this finish provides an elegant and modern surface that’s an alternative to stainless steel. Our favorite feature has to be that, unlike most stainless steel, it resists fingerprints because the dark matte appearance naturally hides fingerprints, smudges and dirt, so it’s really easy to maintain. Also, unlike stainless this surface holds magnets.

While functionality is always important, the look of the finish is really important, especially when you are investing all of that money in something that should last you many years. This Slate finish pairs very well with virtually anything. From sleek granites and composites to organic glass and wood, Slate perfectly harmonizes with today’s materials and colors. With such a broad palette of complementary finishes, Slate can appeal to every taste. I really like that it’s finished with bold, brushed metal touch points that just really completes the look. The feeling is rich and elegant, while still being homey and welcoming.

I think the more neutral warm feel of this, coupled with the need to clean less and even hang some magnets once again, really makes the new GE Slate Appliances are real winner. As always, you can get the best price and selection on these appliances at Best Buy…my go-to spot always.
