It’s 2017. What does that mean? Well, it means a lot of things, but one of the most amazing and most noticeable changes to our everyday lives has to be the influence of technology. It’s everywhere! You can barely do anything without having some form of mobile tech/app/internet work and communication involved, right? It’s great and it’s daunting all at the same time. What type of tech is really worth investing in and what isn’t? What do I really need personally and what is really better left for other people to use. Do I want to be into technology big time, in the middle, or as little as possible? At the end of the day, only you can really decide all of that.
No matter where you land, I have to admit that the more and more I use technology, the more I really learn to love it. There are just something things I cannot live without. Even some of the tech that seems like a novelty really becomes an integral part of life. It’s pretty amazing, really. Just think about how different day-to-day life is even from only 10 year ago! Now think about what it will be like in the coming 10 years and beyond. Mind boggling.
Connected Smart Home
One part of tech life that I’m really getting more and more excited about is the connected home. One of the most awesome products I’ve come across is Google Home. If you’re looking for not only cutting edge technology but a real and true way to simplify your everyday life, then this voice-activated speaker powered by the Google Assistant is the way to do it. Fast. It’s so easy to setup and even easier to use. You simply use voice commands to enjoy music, get answers from Google and manage everyday tasks. It can also control compatible some really awesome smart devices such as Chromecast, Nest, and Hue Lighting!! Basically, Google Home is compatible with a ton of smart devices that run either Android and iOS operating systems.
Setup and Google Home App
It seriously cannot get any easier. It takes more time to get the Google Home out of the box than to set it all up! Download the app, and after a few (literally) easy steps, everything in your room will be connected. You pretty much just need a Google account and WiFi password. That’s it. It may have been the easiest and most painless setup I’ve ever done, and I’ve done my fair share. Do not be intimidated at all.

Connecting To Chromecast
That’s some amazing stuff if you really think about it. Not only is a world of information and entertainment just a voice command away, so is the automation of so many little tasks that equate to a big difference in your life each and every day! Of all of the amazing things you can do, one of my (and my family’s) absolute favorite features has to be using Chromecast voice commands with Google Home. Basically Google Home + Chromecast is pretty much the easiest and most enjoyable way to watch TV today. It’s awesome and it makes TV watching that much easier and cooler.
