My ‘Awesome Mix’ Inspired by Guardians of the Galaxy 2 on Digital HD and Blu-ray Giveaway

I’m so happy to partner up with Disney for this giveaway. All opinions and love of the movie and 80s music are 100% my own. Maybe even 110%, even though that’s not really possible.

I have some pretty great news that got me, well, stoked. Yes, I said stoked. I like movies – action movies, comedies, and Sci-Fi. I also like great characters. It’s a really rare occurrence when a movie has all of that and more, so I get pretty excited when I see a movie that does. Disney delivered all of the goods. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 was an great movie. It was just a lot of fun and had just the right amount of everything I love in a movie. My family really enjoyed it, too. Did you see it? Did you love it like we did? If you did, I have some pretty rad news. Yes, I sad rad. I think people actually still say that, too. Anyway, on to the news!

In case you didn’t know, I was born in 1976, so just like the movie, 80’s music was the bomb. It’s what I listened to when I was a wee little tyke. I listed to all of the music and then some. It had a really unique feel about it. The music of the 80s was such fun, feel-good music. Nothing too violent or too crazy, just a lot of good spirited, fun, and even cheesy music. I actually love 80s music more and more. Even more today than I did back then! Plus, it brings back such amazing memories of when I was growing up in Queens, NY. I love this part of Guardians, the fact that music and memories plays such a huge part of it. I think it’s great. Plus, who doesn’t love a mix tape? I know I had many, many tapes, all recorded off of the radio late at night. It’s seems to crazy to think of it now with all the digital downloads and all of that. There’s something that really hits me when I think about that time and making those tapes.

It got me so much, that I decided to create my own custom made, super cool ‘Awesome Mix.’ Since it’s 2017, I did it the 2017 way…on Amazon Music, all of it inspired by Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. I created this work of art to make you wanna dance in celebration of the movie and soundtrack!!! It’s just a few of the many songs I loved. From the Rocky movie classic Eye of the Tiger from super-group Survivor to mega stars that just scream the 80s, like Rick Astley’s (remember him) Never Gonna Give You Up, to Billy Ocean’s cool sounds, like When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going, very fondly remembered for an awesome Hulk Hogan wrestling montage from a time when I absolutely loved to watch wrestling on Saturday nights.

Check it out and tell me you don’t love this, too. It’s literally impossible not to love these songs. OK, so maybe it’s not LITERALLY impossible…but to me, it is.
