It’s the summer and I am always looking for great steak recipes, healthy dinner recipes, and just about any kind of bbq food! There’s just something so fantastic about grilling up some meat and veggies, listening to some music, and watching the kids play and have a great time! It’s my absolute favorite time of the year!!
Now, let’s get talking turkey…or steak or pork or sausage or hot dogs or hamburgers. Can you tell I’m pretty excited to talk about this? When it comes to grilling, I always think simple is the best. I love using salt, pepper, and olive oil on just about everything. From corn to grilled chicken, bbq food should really be about the meat, the vegetable, and the open flame! If you keep it simple, you don’t really need a ton of steak recipes, chicken recipes, or healthy dinner recipes! It’s all healthy and the taste it just perfect, right??
Planning Your Meal
When you are looking to do some summertime grilling, there’s really not too much you need to have. But, as with all meal planning, you really should know what you want to do and what you need to do it. Prep is key, so have your steak recipes, your pork recipes, and your chicken recipes handy and hit that supermarket!!
Make sure you get a nice mix of what you and your guests will love to eat, and make sure you get healthy options as well! Corn on the cob, asparagus, and bell peppers are a favorite of mine to grill and it’s a real crowd-pleaser for just about everyone! If you have a gas grill, make sure you have propane. If you are charcoal, make sure you have that. It’s all pretty simple, but the trick for me and for most people these days is having the appropriate amount of time to get it all together and prep. That’s why I’m always on the lookout for simple and easy ways to make my grilling a little bit easier and a lot tastier!! And don’t forget to marinade your meat to really intensify that flavors you want to bring to the table!

It went perfectly with the grilled corn and red peppers, rice and beans!! I can’t wait to try the other base flavors!! Using this as a marinade was awesome and so easy. All I added was fresh black pepper and oregano! Done and done. It really is a great way to bring out some flavorful meat with little effort anytime you are looking to grill.
