I enjoyed being a part of the Every Day, Care project with Whirlpool® as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. The assignment was very broadly structured, so all options and ideas are my own.
When I was asked to take part in the Whirlpool® Every day, care™ campaign, I was a big-time “yes” right from jump. The concept is so simple, yet can be so important and impactful. Sure, the “big things” are great and can go a long way, but let’s face facts… it’s the little things in life that really make it for most people the vast majority of the time. Didn’t that sage Janet Jackson once sing…”the best things in life are free” ? Ok, sorry, I’ll get back on track here.
I think the challenge and the beauty of this is to recognize the small, daily acts of care you show your loved ones. You do it so routinely and without thought that you almost don’t realize what you are doing. I picked a couple of things so many of us do day in and day out for our families and friends. Just think about it for a little bit… how many little things do you each day for someone without even thinking about it?
1) Who doesn’t take time out to make someone a healthy and tasty lunch to bring to school?
2) How about doing a little bit of laundry?
3) Cleaning up the doggie pee room (yes, we have one of those)…
4) Cranking out your little scholars with some homework help!
That’s what Whirlpool’s #EveryDayCare is all about!
So, what do you think? Do you get what we’re talking about now? Any act of care is one worth noticing and calling out. Let someone know you appreciate what they do. Be patient with those that may not express it to you… it’s easy in the day-to-day to let it go unnoticed. Carry on and do the right thing. People realize it and appreciate it, even if they may not say it all the time.
