adidas Outdoor Fall/Winter 2018
The new adidas Outdoor Fall/Winter 2018 collection is out and it’s looking good with a lot of feeling good mixed right in there, too. The main news I took away from checking out the goodies at their NYC showroom was the clear and steady expansion in the use of sustainability products in making their gear and footwear. adidas is packing some goodness in their gear with Parley Ocean Plastics in footwear and outerwear.
adidas X Parley
adidas is working with Parley to create a line of amazing outdoor gear for 2018. The amazing part is that it prevents plastic from getting into our oceans and waterways. That’s right. Waste is intercepted from beaches and coastal communities before it enters that water then upcycled into high-performance sportswear. Check out this video. I think it will explain it a bit more…
Less Water Usage
Considering the planet is mostly water, we know it’s a pretty good idea to try to keep that water as clean as possible. It’s also really important to conserve that water and use as little of it as possible, right? adidas is making a huge effort to do that as well with ZeroDye and DopeDye. Reducing water usage in the production of its footwear and apparel is very important to the brand and the results show it. We are talking about reductions of 20% water usage with some suppliers and as much as 50% with some material suppliers. Making better use of the water used to dye the products (and in some cases use no dye at all) is just another way adidas is working to save water and build products in ways that are better for our planet.
The Gear
This is some pretty amazing stuff, right? The best part is that the gear is awesome, too. The line is really all about hybrid fashion. By that, I mean it’s a mix of textiles in outerwear that combine fashion and performance. This is clear when as the lines between style and performance becoming a blur. I love this about the line, the form and function. A number of pieces able to be worn when exploring the outdoors for hiking or for walking city streets! Maybe the best part is the affordable price points of the gear. I think it’s all very fair for the quality and style of the products. It was an awesome line-up filled with good gear trying to do good things.

That is so awesome that ADIDAS is making a conscious effort to make sustainable clothing to help keep our planet clean. I can’t wait to see the full fall line. I’ll be sure to snap up a few pieces when it hits the stores.
I love this new line from Adidas. I’ve always been a fan of theirs. I’m an even bigger fan knowing that they’re doing their part to make their products more sustainable.
I wonder if that Continental is the same one that makes tires. It’s great they’re trying to have a positive impact on the environment. And yay for the white sneakers, white is hard to find.
I love the pair of shoes with the yellow detailing. Looks stunning and totally something that I would wear!
We are huge Adidas fans in our house. These are such great picks!
