I love food.  I guess I am a “foodie” yet I am not a snobbish one.  I know many people associate that term with people that only like “the best” or “the fanciest” or the unpronounceable.  I can get down with 5-star or White Castle, depending on the day and the mood.

That being said, the folks over at Chow.com always do a great job of keeping up with food trends.  Here’s a nice little list of the good, the bad, and the ugly of 2011:

The Best:

  1. Orangerie – this is big, breaking the mold of traditional Scotch
  2. So Delicious Coconut Milk Creamer
  3. Regal Vegan Faux Gras – I just don’t know
  4. KonaRed
  5. Cascal Fermented Natural Soda – this is really good, unique
The Worst:
