Crowd Pleasers
Ahh…dinner time. It’s a tricky time of day, isn’t it parents? There are just so many variables and each day seems like a new adventure. There are really only a few meals that I make at home that the kids really love. Mac and cheese is a big one, followed closely by pasta with sauce and chicken nuggets. I think you have heard of these things and perhaps the hit list for your kids is very similar to mine. While these dishes are always on the favorite lists, there are also a number of other dishes the kids love as well. The kids all love tacos, be it soft shell or hard, steak or chicken. This is always a hit as well. And whenever I am making tacos, I also always have to make rice and beans. This is a complete must for my family, kind of like having fries with a burger. We have tried a number of beans over the years, but the tastiest and easiest to prepare have to be BUSH’S® Savory Beans.
Savory Beans
The flavor, the texture and the awesome mix of tastes really make rice and beans a standout in my house. It’s also a great, healthful, and fulfilling duo that you really can’t go wrong with if it’s done right. My family’s favorite beans for pairing with that rice have to be flavorful on their own. They have to bring something to the table, but they can’t be too salty or too…much. They have to enhance the dish they are in, not overpower it.
While there are a ton of options out there, we really love both BUSH’S® Black Beans Fiesta™ and BUSH’S® Southwestern Style Pinto Beans™ the most right now…hands down. The flavors really pop and pair really well with Mexican, Tex-Mex, and Southwestern style foods, but they are really good with just about anything. They are even good all by themselves!
BUSH’S® Savory Beans becuase they made from the best beans simmered in delicious savory sauces like mild chipotle sauce with corn and peppers or red chile sauce with mild jalapeños. Bizzow. It’s just the right amount of spice, heat, and flavor to really make the beans pop. It’s also fantastic when the rice sops up all that good flavor. If I was with Guy Fieri, we would be headed right to flavortown, baby.
Quick and Easy
While the flavor of the BUSH’S Savory Beans are awesome, the fact that all I have to do is Heat and Eat may be even more awesome. That’s right busy people out there, all you have to do is just pop open that can of goodness and heat it all up. You can go with he microwave or the pan on the stovetop. Either way, you will be eating in, quite literally, minutes!! BUSH’S® Savory Beans are such a fantastic, easy meal enhancer that can improve or inspire quick weeknight or everyday meals. It’s just so easy, you almost can’t put a price on it. It’s just one less thing to worry about.
I love to pair either BUSH’S® Black Beans Fiesta™ or BUSH’S® Southwestern Style Pinto Beans™ with rice of any kind (Mexican, white, brown, jasmine) along with some fresh chicken tacos. I love soft corn tortillas (the kids love crispy) with some nicely seasoned grilled chicken, fresh raw onions, fresh cilantro, and fresh diced tomato. The kids love putting shredded cheddar cheese and guacamole on the tacos, too.
It’s just such a vibrant, tasty, wholesome, and complete meal, you really feel good serving and eating it. Plus…it really doesn’t take too much time…especially when you use quality instant rice and BUSH’S Savory Beans ready in minutes. It really saves so much time and worry over what sides to make. This is just so important to me and my wife, I almost can’t stress it enough. It’s just so easy, but yet it’s good. Anything that is of this level of quality, that tastes this good, and is ready in minutes is a no-brainer for me and my family!!
A Family Business
I have been eating BUSH’S beans for decades, and so has my wife and my family. The brand is just always consistently good. You never have to worry about it. You know that nobody knows beans better than BUSH’S but BUSH’S is more than Baked Beans (while those are always awesome)!! There’s a whole line of goodies to choose from, but my favorite right now has to be the Savory Beans.
I really like that after over 110 years, BUSH’S is still family-owned and operating out of Chestnut Hill, TN!! That’s unreal. I just love supporting American families doing great things like this. Because it’s family, I know that they care about the food they make and what’s in it. The products are always delicious, real and honest and made with simple ingredients. Its top quality that are naturally gluten-free and cholesterol-free. This is all very important for me and my family.

Well, this is awesome. I buy Bush’s baked beans all the time. I never realized they had these other varieties. This is going to make so many of my recipes so much better!
This seems to be a nice & tasty dish by the looks of it. Easy to make too. And beans are my favorite too.
We love Bush’s beans; we use them for chili all the time! This looks like a great meal; I’ll have to whip this up for the kids!
This looks sooo yummy. I’m currently keto, but beans are definitely my indulgence.
While I tend to pressure cooker dried beans, I always keep several varieties of Bush’s Beans on hand for those days I just want a fast meal. I do use them in my chili every single time though, and the one time I made a swap, my family noticed and loudly complained that my chili wasn’t as good as normal. Love how long Bush’s has been in TN too!
Hooray for taco night! Beans are a staple around here, especially now that I’m no longer eating meat. I’ll have to check out these savory beans soon.
