HP Spectre x2 Touch-Screen Laptop

As a writer/blogger, I tend to really use my laptop. Yes, I can now do a ton of things on my smartphone and tablet, but there’s still something great about a laptop and the way you work on it. It’s my go-to for most of my work. As time passes, technology changes. It happens with everything, and laptop computing is no different. There’s always something new and great coming out, from speed improvements to lighter devices to better screens. It can really make your head spin, keeping up with all of this. When I need to upgrade my device, I generally look around the blogosphere and see what’s cooking. In my research, I cam across a laptop that really seems to tick off all the boxes, so to speak. It’s the HP Spectre x2 2-in-1 12.3″ Touch-Screen Laptop, available at Best Buy.

I have used HP machines for, literally, decades and they are always good. They perform well and hold-up well. The Spectre is no different. It’s a really great laptop that mixes power with usability. I love the look and feel of the aluminum chassis, but what I really like is the versatility and the light-weight of it. It makes using the Spectre a really pleasure. The convertible design seamlessly switches between high-functioning laptop and portable tablet forms, so it’s really cool and easy to use. The durable hinge makes it quick and simple to dock and detach the display from the keyboard, too.

The size of the device makes this all the better. This baby only weighs 2.49 lbs. and measures 0.5″! It’s awesome, it’s like a tablet!! All of this with a perfectly sized 12.3″ display that really looks amazing with 3000×2000 screen resolution. Really awesome. Plus. it’s a really powerful machine with a nice amount of solid state memory. We are talking an Intel® Core™ i7-7560U processor with 8GB of RAM and a 360GB solid state drive. To top it off, it has the ease of Bluetooth connectivity, 2 USB Type-C ports, built-in media reader for simple photo transfer (microSD, microSDHC and microSDXC memory card formats supported), and a backlit keyboard for those nights I’m working late in my bed! The laptop runs on Windows 10 Home and was built for Windows Ink. DVD/CD drive not included but is easily added if needed (which I do need).

The X2 seems to be designed to be more like a tablet than a laptop. However, HP includes a detachable keyboard as well as a pen stylus that integrates well with Windows Ink. There’s even a pretty clever kickstand that allows the tablet to stand up with or without the keyboard when in landscape mode.

So, in other words, the HP Spectre x2 2-in-1 12.3″ Touch-Screen Laptop, available at Best Buy is a powerful machine that also looks great and it very easy and versatile to use. It’s pretty much the perfect machine for me right now. A fantastic upgrade well worth the investment. It’s been paying off in spades each and every time I pull it out!! I really think that the HP Spectre X2 12-C012DX is a cutting edge premium 2 in 1 convertible laptop/tablet well worth the price tag, especially for someone looking for all of these features.

This really is an impressive laptop. I think the ability to transform into a tablet is going to be super nice. It should be really good for travel.

This is such a beautiful looking laptop, I love that it can be used as a tablet or as a tradition laptop as well, that really is offering the best of both worlds.

I still need to get my daughter a laptop for when she heads to college this fall. I think I’ll be heading to Best Buy this weekend to check out this HP Touch Screen. Looks like it would be a great one for her to test out.

This would be a dream gadget for me. I love the super sleek design! To have two gadgets in one is awesome. Of course, if it is HP, you know it is going to be good. Thanks for letting me know. If my current laptop reaches that point when it is ready to retire, I am getting an HP.

We have 6 kids and they all have HP laptops. They aren’t as nice as this one though. This looks like something maybe we could upgrade for them in the future. Love Best Buy!

It’s sleek looking and I like that there is a stand for the tablet. That’s essential when you have kids who like to use their tablets/computers to make home videos.

I wish I saw this before I got my current laptop. To have a laptop that could function as a tablet would be so awesome! I love how sleek this HP Spectre is! I am so tempted to sell my current laptop and get this one instead.
