Dive Bars Baby
Dive bars are an American tradition, where long-lasting memories are created, where people-watching is imperative, and where the greatest stories and a come-as-you-are attitude live. It’s a sense of place, freedom, and community that drives the dive. It also helps that they tend to be pretty no-frills and reasonable in price. Seagram’s 7 Crown announced that they are raising a glass to dive bars everywhere by marking the first official National Dive Bar Day, fittingly taking place on July 7th, 2018 – in celebration of the quintessential Dive Bar drink, the 7&7.
To help save Dive Bars everywhere, Seagram’s 7 Crown is also supporting the National Trust for Historic Preservation, a nonprofit organization that protects America’s historic places, that represents our diverse cultural experiences. Seagram’s 7 Crown will donate $25,000 to the organization to support the recognition of historic Dive Bars across the U.S.
Seagram’s 7
Seagram’s 7 Crown is a blended American whiskey at 25% straight whiskey and 75% neutral grain. This blend makes it affordable, easy to mix with, and really a great product for getting down on National Dive Bar Day. Straight, on the rocks, shot and a beer. It really doesn’t matter! Maybe you can try your hand with this classic below to really get yourself right on this festive holiday.
Recipe for a 7&7
What You Need:

- 5 oz. 7UP
- Slice of lime
Directions:
- Add Seagram’s 7 Crown Blended Whiskey and 7UP to a highball glass with ice.

Well, this is just about the best day ever. There’s nothing quite like visiting a dive bar. There’s an atmosphere about them that you just can’t replicate anywhere else.
One can always find someone in common or something that catches their eye in a dive bar. Some of life’s most fun memories come from stepping into a dive bar! I like a well-made 7&7, just as much as the next person!
Dive bars FTW! Dive bars is where you can leave all your pretentions at the door and just sit, drink and enjoy the laid back vibe. The Seagram’s 7 would be perfect to celebrate the day.
What an interesting day. I’ve never been to a dive bar myself but think it would be a lot of fun to visit a few and see what its like! I don’t drink though so it may not be as much fun for me!
Dive bars are seriously the best. I live in a small town FULL of them and I love each and every one.
I think that’s such an awesome thing to do! These bars are a part of our culture and who we are and it would be nice to see them last!
Oh I used to love dive bars. Even working on them. Thanks for the memories just what I needed
I didn’t know we had a day to celebrate Dive Bars! It’s awesome that they’re creating this day to celebrate dive bars everywhere! It’s definitely something that’s worth supporting!
