Back To School Breakfast

It’s back to school and it’s time for renewal and new starts. My youngest started Kindergarten, my middle guy started Middle School and my oldest is in her last year before high school!! It’s a big year and it’s time really step up and have big breakfasts. It’s the most important meal of the day, isn’t it now? I love something hearty and flavorful, with a mix of tastes and textures. I want my kids to like the same thing. Not just cold cereal and bagels, though those are pretty good, too. I think I’ve found a fantastic option, it is good, and butchers happen to be involved.

Omaha Steaks Butcher’s Breakfasts

Omaha Steaks®  Butcher’s Breakfasts, part of their line of delicious Skillet Meals, is my new go-to hot breakfast option on this rushed (or maybe not so rushed) mornings. I love Omaha Steaks, a 101-year-old fifth-generation family-owned company and the nation’s leading provider of exceptional steaks and premium gourmet foods. They know their meat, and they also know good food that you can whip up quickly. The new Skillet Meals are packed with plenty of premium Omaha Steaks meat and go from freezer-to-table in 15-minutes or less!!!! It was literally as easy it can be to make.

Options

The new Omaha Steaks Butcher’s Breakfast meals include the following options.

  • Meat Lover’s– a trio of juicy, flavorful pork favorites that start your day right. The meal has plenty of lean pork sausage, all-natural ham, and uncured bacon, plus roasted red potatoes, peppers, and onions in a perfectly seasoned gravy.
  • Chorizo & Sweet Potato Hash– flavorful all-natural chorizo sausage front and center in a hearty meal. Our Chorizo is a spicy pork sausage made with paprika and chiles (and no artificial ingredients), and it’s served with sweet potato, red peppers and onions.
  • Ranchero Steak & Beans– perfectly seasoned steak and savory uncured bacon, and a colorful, flavorful blend of chilies, tomatoes, veggies, and spices.

I’ve had them and they are all good. They all offer a nice, balanced approach to having a complete breakfast in once dish. The pepper and onions are a nice, sweet pairing to the flavorful meats, like the nicely spiced chorizo. I love that the potatoes are in there already, too. It really meshes well with overall dish, while offering that great starchy goodness to the meal and veg. The balance is great, and they all do it well.

Yes, sir, that’s a good one. I know my son would eat that. We love chorizo. Not too many people I know have heard of it.

These looks like a perfect back to school breakfast option! Heck, I’d even serve it when we have breakfast for dinner. It would get gobbled up any time of the day!

Totally a breakfast for dinner idea! Looks delish although my picky eater might throw a rebellion. I know the rest of my family would approve.
