‘Tis The Season

Christmas and the Holidays are coming very quickly. It seems like I was just enjoying Memorial Day weekend and here we are, smack in the middle of Fall with October just around the corner. Man, the time really does fly right by, doesn’t it? As much as I loathe to admit it, it’s just a matter of time before the clocks fall back, the weather chills and the Holiday season arrives. As much as I really do love that time of the year, with Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s all in a tidy two-month-or-so span, it can be overwhelming. I am just not good at planning for it all, and I am really terrible at shopping for it all. I just can’t deal with the whole situation, really. I would rather do many things, if I’m being honest. Typically, my wife is all over this, but there are plenty of times I need to step up and get the job done myself. When I have to get to the shopping, there is one main destination for me. Best Buy all the way. They have all the very top tech gifts anyone cold ever ask for, all in one spot.

What To Get?

Tech is what everyone wants. The kids, the wife, family, even my parents. That’s #1 on everyone’s list each and every year. From TVs to DVDs to phones and more, everyone really seems to be hooked on technology. The thing I love about shopping for the Holidays at Best Buy is that it’s just so simple, and the prices are always the best. Period. They price match, you can buy online, you can pick-up in-store, or you can do it the the best way and check it all out live and in-person in their giant, super cool stores. They have it all, so it takes me as little time as possible to get it all done for everyone on my list. I love it and it’s the way for me to go each and every year.

Sony Time

Now, sometimes I do want some things for myself, but I often time want things that the entire house can enjoy. That’s a good thing, as I want to get the most bang for my buck. There are a few things on my list, I have to say, and one of my very top tech picks this Christmas is the Sony UBPX800 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Player (retails for $300). It’s a great machine. It’s provides hours of entertainment for me and my family.

You can play 4K UHD Blu-ray Movies with High Dynamic Range support and 4K Ultra HD movies at 4x the resolution of full 1080p HD. This lets you watch your favorite scenes with a level of detail and clarity like never before. You can also stream in 4K HDR from your favorite streaming services and play almost any disc or file format, including most 4K Ultra HD video and Hi-Res Audio formats This is pretty amazing and goes far beyond playing 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs. You can even pair the machine with 4K or non 4K TV and insert a 4K Blu Ray to get best screen quality!!! There’s a Blu-ray disc included with the player, too.

This baby is built to last, too, with premium construction for optimum audio and visual performance. The unique frame and beam chassis eliminates vibration and electrical shielding so all you experience is the highest sound and picture quality. I love when things are made well, and this unit really fits the bill.

See It In Action

I like the Sony player so much, I decided to make a video review about it. Would you like to see it? Well, click here to see it go!

This is the ultimate life of the awesome where Best Buy identified the coolest and best tech to gift this season. Of course, my Sony UBPX800 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Player made the cut, but there’s ton more to check out, too.
