Well, crazily enough, January is coming to a close. As always, the time seems to fly right by. Where does it go, no really? It’s amazing. Christmas seemed like yesterday. As the winter months are flying by and the spring will be upon us before we know it, I’m just taking a minute to reflect on the year as it’s going.
I’m Not Obsessed is gone and not forgotten, but it’s better that it’s gone. It freed up some more time for me to work on this and to concentrate on the other sites and work we need to get done. So far, it’s been good. I’ve been consistent and steady in my work on GAB and have been getting noticed by more and more brands and PR agencies. That’s great as that’s what 2016 is all about. My building this site up, sharing my life, and giving you my take on the world. I hope it’s been enjoyable and entertaining so far. It’s like a new career for me, as this is really the first time I’ve had a sustained push and effort on the creative side. I enjoy it and I’m glad I decided to focus on this more.
Health wise, I’ve been eating great and I’ve been exercising more. I’m down about 6 pounds with a whole lot more to go, but it takes time. I’m in no rush. I have a ways to go, but I’m on the right path. I just really needed to reset my life and the way it was going. I’m only in my 30s for one more year after all, then it’s all down hill. I best be prepared.
I’m also trying my best to spend more time with the family, unplugged. It’s hard because the business is demanding and always needy, but it has to happen. I’m going to do my best at focusing on this, for everyone. It’s just about the most important thing anyone can focus on, though sadly, sometimes we just can’t.
I’ve also made some great strides in stabilizing our finances and expenses. I’ve lowered our health insurance bill by a ton, re-established our 401K, set up some new life insurance and other investments. I’m back in control and in the saddle after some time off. It feels good and I like the path we are on again.
It’s been a pretty eventful start to 2016 and a very positive one in most ways. Good things are happening and I hope and pray for continued blessings through the winter, through 2016, and beyond. I wish the same for all of you, too. Thank God all seems well!

Congrats on losing 6 pounds and focusing on health and fitness this year! I can tell you from experience that it is most certainly NOT downhill after 40. Far from it! I was over 40 when I lost 60 lbs. (after decades of failure) and got in the best shape of my life! I feel better than I did at 25. Getting better every year! You got this, just keep going 🙂
That is no wonderful to hear! I really appreciate your kind words and encouragement. Thanks very much!!!
