Booking Hotels

To ensure you have a comfortable vacation in the center of all the hubbub that midtown is known for, be sure to book your room at Westgate’s New York Grand Central Hotel well in advance of your trip. You can choose the type of room you want from the 300 available on 23 floors. The Gothic-style construction of the popular hotel makes it one of NYC’s landmarks, so make sure you check availability for an overnight visit before you meander into the hotel.

One of the best New York City tours is the Hop on Hop off New York tours. There are a number of companies around that do a great job. There always seems to be deals, too. Look around and be patient! Wait for a great deal and you will likely find it. Gray Line New York is probably the most famous. Big Bus New York is always good. City Sights NY is good as well! Whichever you choose, Hop on Hop off New York tours are probably the absolute best and most fun way to see NYC!

Wild Nightlife

The nightlife in Manhattan changes from week to week, so unless you have tickets to a live music venue or a comedy club, you may find yourself wandering along the boulevards to the sounds of street-corner musicians or loud music that spills from popular night clubs. Talk to your doorman or concierge for information about what there is to do on the weekend you overnight. Don’t forget to check out the microbreweries and small art galleries that are scattered along the busy streets.

Thank you for sharing! We always wanted to travel around the States with my husband and New York is definitely on our must-see list, but we probably won’t have a lot of time in every location on the way.

New York is my favorite US city! My daughter just graduated in 2019 from NYU, so I was lucky to visit at least 4 times a year for 4 years! We did the Hop on Hop off New York tours and it was AMAZING! Looking forward to returning soon.
