Uber Eats

This is a sponsored post in partnership with Uber. All opinions and love expressed are my own.

Time to Mangia

Ok, so it’s time to mangia (that’s eat in Italian). You are super hungry and absolutely craving something tasty. The problem is, you are also feeling like you simply do not want to make anything yourself. You had a tough day at work, you are busy in the middle or work, or you just have no desire to do so. Whatever the reason, you know that you need to eat and someone else will be making it for you

Next problem, you also do not feel like leaving the house/office/wherever. So now you know to things, someone needs to make food for you and then someone (probably not the same person) also needs to bring said food to you. And it would be nice if it came pretty darn soon.

But What and Where

When it’s time time to order delivery, for some reason, there seems to be limited options, right? It’s pizza or Chinese food offering the best bang for your delivery buck. Most great restaurants never really offered delivery at all. So, you were left with whoever wanted to deliver. And that didn’t always fit the bill. For years I would say, man, I wish so and so place would deliver. I guess have to go in or do some take-out. While this isn’t exactly the end of the world, a little more variety from some of my favorite spots would have always been welcomed on those busy or lazy days.

Then, it happened. Someone came up with the idea that they could help all of those non-delivering places, well, deliver. Uber Eats has partnered with top restaurants in your area to bring their menus to customers. What a life-altering concept and service. Hello Uber Eats…and thank you…thank you so much.

Delicious Delivered

Ok, so now we have established that you need food to be made for you and there’s a place to go to make the delivery of that food happen. It’s called magic…I mean, Uber Eats. Uber Eats is an online and app-based food delivery service available in 254 North American cities and growing with the selection you want. It that makes getting great food from your favorite local restaurants as easy as requesting a ride, and it’s the bomb-diggity (yep, I still use that phrase once in a while).

Uber Eats is available seven days a week, whenever restaurants near you (typically within 30 minutes of your location) are open and accepting orders. Your delivery partner will generally bring your order right to your door. If it’s easiest for you to walk outside–that’s fine too. You can always meet the delivery partner at the curb. It’s really easy.

How Much for this Level of Awesome?

How much does Uber Eats cost? Restaurants offer different meals at varying prices on the Uber Eats app. The fees for Uber Eats orders varies based on several factors, but you’ll always see the fee upfront so you know what you’re paying before you order. Note that prices and offers on the Uber Eats website and in the Uber Eats app may differ from prices and offers in the restaurant. All fees, menus, etc. are right there in the app, very clear and easy to see.

You have the opportunity to tip your delivery partner in the Uber Eats app at checkout and after your meal is delivered; tipping is optional. You can also rate your experience each time you order–just like you rate an Uber ride. All the things you love about Uber (and I love Uber) are here with this service as well. It’s great.

Start Using Uber Eats Today

So, what do you say? Long day? Don’t feel like cooking dinner? Order with Uber Eats! Don’t feel like going out? Stay put. Let dinner come to you. It’s just so simple, man…

Craving something special? Crave. Tap. Relax.

  1. Get Started – Download the app, signup and add your delivery address, then place your first (of many) order.
  2. Browse – Choose from the full menu of your area’s best restaurants. Uber Eats has hundreds of restaurants to choose from. When you open the app, you can scroll through the feed for inspiration or search for a particular restaurant or cuisine. When you find something you like, tap to add it to your cart.
  3. Order – When you’re ready to check out, you’ll see your address, an estimated delivery time, and the price of the order including tax and booking fee. When everything looks right, just tap Place Order, and that’s it. Uber will automatically use your card on file so you never need cash.
  4. Get Ready to Eat – You can follow along as your meal is prepared and delivered by your favorite restaurants!  First you’ll see the restaurant accept and start prepping. Then, when the order’s almost ready, a nearby Uber delivery partner—in a car, on a bike, or on a scooter—will go to the restaurant to pick it up. Next, they’ll drive or ride to you. You’ll be able to see their name and photo and track progress on the map. You now what’s happened and with who every step of the way. It’s so awesome, it’s scary.

Using the app is really a game changer in food delivery. It’s super easy to use, is really advanced, and it makes the whole process fun and easy. It literally opens up a whole new world (queue the music) for what you can eat on those delivery days that seem to come around more and more. Service You Love. Selection You Want. Speed You Need

I’ve actually NEVER used UberEats before – just Grub Hub and Postmates! I definitely need to jump on the Uber Eats bandwagon too – at least download the app and see what restaurant it delivers that are near by to my place!

I have yet to try UberEats or any delivery service actually! Have heard great things, but I doubt it would be applicable in my small town in PA!
