Cincinnati VS Houston

Houston's new hope?

Current line: Houston -3/38

Saturday 4:30 pm  on NBC

The Texans have finally made it. After years of 8-8, they are at the big dance.  Their issue is that their QB didn’t make it to the finish line. We have the marquee matchup of TJ Yates (or even better for the bettor, Jake Delhomme) matching up against rookie Andy Dalton. I foresee 70+ carries for the two teams combined. The Texans have the much better pair of running backs in fantasy superstar Arian Foster and Ben Tate.

Houston should win 28-17 (23-20 with Jake in but with 4 INTS) and the over

Detroit VS New Orleans

This will be a common sight Saturday night

Current line: New Orleans -10.5/59

Saturday 8 pm on NBC

If you like offense and specifically a lot passing…this is your game. My league MVP Drew Brees faces off vs finally healthy Matthew Stafford. Stafford threw for 5038  yards…only 400 behind Brees, New Orleans had one of the great offensive performances in history (helped by 11 dome games, but still). Detroit was no slouch either. Detroit is coming off a game giving up 480 yards passing to the backup of Green Bay. I think the Lions secondary will be run off the field in this one.

New Orleans will win 42-28 and this will be one of the best high flying games…until round 2, over 59

Pittsburgh VS Denver

He can't throw, but he started a great meme

Current line: Pittsburgh -8/35

Sunday 4:30 on CBS

The most maligned, hated, polarizing QB in NFL history takes the field…vs Ben Roethlisberger (that angel, pillar of society, good guy…wait, who’s disliked again)

The only shot I see Denver has is if the play with the “none thinks we can win” chip on their shoulder, get some first downs and keep the game in the 20-25 total point range. I don’t believe in the Pitt running game, playing in Mile High is always tough and Ben is nowhere close to being himself (no college groupies this week). The Steelers are limping in with all those major injuries. All said…Tebow isn’t a good QB and Denver’s WR haven’t helped by not getting open at all.

I can’t see a real way that Denver can win and think Pittsburgh will win a closer than it should be game 17-10, under 35.

Atlanta VS NY Football Giants

Eli(te) and Matty Ice

Opening line: New York -3/49

Sunday 1pm on FOX

I am a Giant fan…not saying anything else.

Falcons and over.
