Perfect Father’s Day Gift

Ties? C’mon! Grilling utensils? Please! Sweater and socks? Are you serious?? I know shopping for dads can be tough. If your dad or husband is like me, we really don’t want or need all that much. I’m very content with my wardrobe and I never really wear ties any more and I have all the spatulas and tongs I can ever ask for! So what, exactly, should my family get someone like me…or someone like your special fella?? Experiences. Sports. Good times. I love a good ball game and I love going with my sons. It’s just a priceless experience that really makes life worth living.

I love all sports but my 10 year old Liam is all about soccer. He’s on my town’s travel team. We have seen MLS games and we’ve been to international friendly both here and aboard. We really enjoy watching “the beautiful game” in any way, anywhere we can! One of the most amazing soccer events around is The International Champions Cup.

The International Champions Cup

The International Champions Cup is a competitive, world-class soccer tournament featuring the top soccer clubs in the world.  The event is family friendly and offers fans the opportunity to see some of the best European players and clubs, right here in the USA this summer. The International Champions Cup features the largest number of teams, matches and venues in the Tournament’s history, which is really saying a lot given how awesome it’s been in the past.

This year’s chase for the Cup features 18 of the best clubs in the world playing 27 matches across the United States, Europe and Singapore, delivering on the premier sports property’s mission to transform European soccer’s presence around the world.

In its sixth installment, the Tournament is known for kicking off the international soccer season by bringing world-class soccer to the masses and slating marquee match-ups that attract record- breaking crowds – including the largest recorded attendance for a soccer match in the United States. We went last year when it was in New Jersey and had a blast!! FC Barcelona vs. Junentus…the place was rocking. We still talk about it a year later. It was a ball from beginning to end!!!If you love sports, this is an absolute must-watch event!!

What a memorable experience for you and your son! I agree, both my husband and I would always take an experience over a material gift. (Well, unless it’s food. Then give us food lol)

I have seen games in Europe. I have never seen one here. It does seem to be getting more and more popular though and hurrah for it!
