Fathers Are Great

Dads are fantastic, aren’t they? I mean, I am one, so I’m biased, but seriously. They just seem to be able to get things done. They do the little things that keep the family and the world running.

Dads You Would Not Want to Meet at your Front Doorstep

As much as we love our dads, there are some dads that you really don’t want to mess with. Let’s take Dr. Paul Kersey (Willis) from Death Wish as a prime example. This guy is all about righting wrongs and avenging this family. He’s still being a good dad, know what I mean? But, man, he is just not someone you’d want to cross. Imagine being the young man
dating his daughter? That’s just not a meet-up I’d be about.
If you look back into time and check out some really famous movies, you’d find a lot of bad boy dads out there. What do you think of this list?
  • Harry Stamper in Armageddon played by Bruce Willis
  • King Triton in The Little Mermaid
  • Cameron Poe in Con Air played by Nicolas Cage
  • Roger Murtaugh in Lethal Weapon played by Danny Glover
  • John McClane in Die Hard played by Bruce Willis
  • Gru in Despicable Me voiced by Steve Carell
  • Don Vito Corleone in The Godfather played by Marlon Brando
  • Bryan Mills in Taken played by Liam Nesson
  • Darth Vader in Star Wars

Well now, that’s something to think about. Be on your best behavior from now on people. For real.

Bruce Willis stars as Paul Kersey in DEATH WISH, a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures film.

Death Wish featuring Bruce Willis

In the new Death Wish film, Dr. Paul Kersey (Bruce Willis) is a surgeon who only sees the aftermath of Chicago violence when it is rushed into his ER – until his wife (Elisabeth Shue) and college-age daughter (Camila Morrone) are viciously attacked in their suburban home. With the police overloaded with crimes, Paul, burning for revenge, hunts his family’s assailants to deliver justice. As the anonymous slayings of criminals grabs the media’s attention, the city wonders if this deadlyvigilante is a guardian angel or a grim reaper. Fury and fate collide in the intense, action-thriller Death Wish.

Paul Kersey becomes a divided person: A man who saves lives, and a man who takes them; a husband and father trying to take care of his family, and a shadowy figure fighting Chicago crime; a surgeon extracting bullets from suspects’ bodies, and the vigilante called “The Grim Reaper” who detectives are quickly closing in on.

I didn’t know there was a new Death Wish movie. I know my husband loved the first. I must admit I’d love to see some of those characters at my door, especially Harry Stamper.

This sounds like an action packed movie. Kind of reminds me of Dexter, which I am so bummed is over. But I can get my fix with Death Wish!
