Appetizers and Small Plates

I love appetizers and I love small plates. There’s just something great about snacking or having a meal composed of a bunch of tastes and flavors rather than just a lot of one flavor. There’s a real reason why so many cookbooks, cooking shows, and restaurants are moving more toward this type of mentality, people love it. It’s more exciting and fulfilling in a lot of ways.

As much I love small plates and appetizers, my family loves them just as much, if not more! They love to pick and choose! One bite here, another bite there, and by the time you have had a number of tastes, you are all filled up and satisfied…and it’s awesome.

Whether it’s snack time, lunch time, or dinner time, I’m always on the hunt for new and different tastes, flavors, and textures. As variety is the spice of life, there are few areas that this holds truer than with food. I can do complex, but most days I really prefer to go with simple, wholesome, and flavorful. It just fits into my family’s schedule really well. When deciding on what to make, there are always favorites that I go back to, and there are always favorite ingredients that I always go back to as well. One of those absolute favorites has to be Bays English Muffins.

Any Time is the Right Time

Back in the day, the only time mom would let you enjoy toasted English muffins was in the crisp morning air. Eating English muffins in the afternoon was like wearing white after Labor Day. And I was mostly all about toasting and buttering them up, right? While this is an awesome way to eat English muffins, there’s more to life than just that! LOL! Luckily, Bays English Muffins has rewritten the rules, showing millions of people that English muffins are great any time of day – – not just for breakfast!!!

So Many Recipes

Bays chefs are proving the versatility of English muffins with creative recipes for appetizers, mini pizzas, sandwiches, melts, paninis, burgers, and sides. Of course, never ignore the awesomeness of the English muffin for breakfast. It’s a tried and true classic for a very good reason. While I dabble with many of the amazing recipes on the Bays English Muffin site, I do have some very simple and tasty favorites that I make over and over again. I wanted to share this with you here. Let’s talk crisps… Rosemary Sea Salt and Parmesan Garlic Crisps that is.

Check out my video here to see how it’s done:
