Cabin Fever Needs To Die…Spring Please Spring!

This has been a long, annoying winter. It’s been hard on everyone since it was so cold and icy that the kids really couldn’t go out that much. We are going stir crazy over there! Temps in the teens, snow and ice falling like mad. We didn’t event get it as bad as parts east and so much of America and it was still a real b*tch. There’s only so many games you can play, whines you can hear, TV/iPad time you can allot (and they were punished and couldn’t use the iPad/video games for over a month), and fights you can break up. It’s tough out here…real tough! LOL.

Well, finally, there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel. The temps are hitting the 50’s and even closing in on 60…just in time for Easter, which is nice. Spring sports like soccer, baseball, and lacrosse are starting to ramp up. The kids can go out and not have to wear a winter coat. My crazy son is already in shorts (though he would wear them in the dead of winter if we let him). This is April and this is the way it  should be! Spring needs to be sprung very soon. Bring me the showers, the flowers, and the super green grass! I need to be able to open the house and car windows, smell the fresh spring air, and be able to put on some short sleeves. The kids need to be able to run around like animals and enjoy life the way it is meant to be enjoyed. I need need to do some grilling while knocking back some beers.

There’s a light at the end of the tunnel and we are ready to sprint and barrel roll into it. Bring on the sun and the spring, baby!! I know it’s out there and I know it’s possible. The life of my family may depend on it.
