Kids love to play and the younger they are, the more they like to explore new and exciting elements around the house. That’s great…until it’s not. Unfortunately some of the exploration includes things like toilets, the dog’s water dish, and electrical outlets. When you are preparing for a new baby or are in the midst of trying to track your little ones down, safeguarding your house, including those dangerous outlets, is key.

PINCH is a brand new, patent pending product designed to keep children away from open sockets and the potential for electrocution. It has been beautifully designed with a sleek, minimalist look and has a long list of safety features. PINCH was recently featured at the Canadian National Exhibition’s Innovation Garage, where it received excellent reviews from event attendees. Here are some of the awesome features:

After installing a PINCH outlet cover, you must use one hand to pinch the patent pending tabs to open the sliding doors and insert your plug. If your hands are not wide enough to perform this maneuver, then chances are that you are not old enough to be handling electrical plugs. PINCH makes child safety as simple as that!

PINCH is designed in a unique way that it makes it almost impossible for little kids to conduct the pinch maneuver thus preventing them from plugging in.

PINCH hasn’t sacrificed design for safety, either. The PINCH outlet cover has been created with a modern, sophisticated look. You’ll feel at ease knowing your child is safe and the look of your outlets isn’t being compromised.

Check out the video here to see exactly how it works:

See what I’m talking about…this makes complete and total sense. It’s something that should have been designed YEARS ago…and now it’s finally here. I can’t wait to get these babies in my house…though I’m sure my 3 year old Caleb will not be as thrilled.

This is pretty awesome. When the twins were born we tried different kinds of precautions for the plugs. How I wish we had one of these for every outlet in the house!

I need to get this. My daughter touches everything!!! I had to move furniture in front of any outlet to keep her from touching them.
