Olympic Update

Well, the US is looking pretty good to take the overall medal crown for the first time in decades. We’re up with 3 days to go. It’s a shame that the US Women’s Hockey team lost to Canada today, but we got the Silver. Not bad. Especially since Canada is hockey mainlining just about all day long, and the olympics are in Canada. Anyway, maybe the men could step in where the ladies could not. We’ll see. On a good note, the US won it’s very first medal in the Nordic Combined event. Now, this may sound like nothing but this is an area the US has not been very good at in the past, but has focused on and invested more in since 2002 in Salt Lake. If the US can step up in these traditionally European-dominated events, we could see a run of Winter domination similar to Summer domination for the US. I guess we’ll see.
