My family loves movies. It’s something that we all really enjoy doing together. The kids especially love seeing a movie the in theater and getting all the candy and popcorn, then anxiously waiting for the movie to soon come out on Blu-ray. They also love seeing the movie at home, knowing some of the parts, and then talking about the fun time it was seeing it in the theater, too. The Secret Life of Pets is the latest movie to fit the bill for us in this way! But first, some info about the movie…
The Secret Life of Pets is a comedy about the lives our pets lead when we leave for work or school. Max, voiced by Louis C.K., is a loyal terrier living a perfectly happy existence until his owner, Katie (Ellie Kemper) brings home Duke (Eric Stonestreet) a big, boisterous mutt she finds at the shelter. When Max and his unruly new “roommate” slip away from their dog-walker, they find themselves lost in the urban jungle of New York City. In an attempt to stay ahead of animal control and a rebel band of abandoned pets led by an unhinged bunny named Snowball (Kevin Hart), they put aside their differences to survive the epic journey back home.
It’s really cute, clever, and funny. You’ll really like the story and the characters. Check out the trailer right here to get a better feel for the movie:
