Are you looking for a way to give back this holiday season? What better way to give back then to bring joy into the lives of children that deserve it. I have a fantastic way for you to do this, all thanks to Hasbro.
The Joy Maker Challenge:
The Joy Maker Challenge encourages youth to spread joy to people in need during the holidays through volunteer service.
GenerationOn, the youth division of Points of Light, has partnered with Hasbro, Inc. and they are looking for kids between the ages of 5-18 to do meaningful, hands-on service projects during the holiday season.
Why It’s Awesome
For every kid and teen who volunteers throughout The Joy Maker Challenge, Hasbro will donate a toy or game to Toys for Tots (up to $1 million worth)!! This will continue until December 23rd, so please take action today. Families can sign up and share their stories here. There’s even a planning kit to download to help you get started.
Hasbro was the best. They gave me and my family 50 toys to donate to families in need!!!! We divided up the goods between my local Police Department, because they were doing a toy drive for the community, and The INN (Interfaith Nutrition Network) – an organization that addresses the issues of hunger and homelessness on Long Island by providing food, shelter, long-term housing, and supportive services in a dignified and respectful manner for those who seek our help.
It felt so good to see everyone’s face when we came barreling in with all those toys. It really made everyone’s day. You could tell they really appreciated the gesture and knew it would make a big difference for a bunch of deserving kids. You can’t be that, and the Christmas spirit, if you tried.
