What Dad Said, What Dad Meant #1: Parking Proximity

Scenario: Liam and I go to the bank, because they screwed up 2 important things in the same day. Shocking. We walk to the car and the minivan next to me is literally 4 inches from my driver’s side door.  Luckily, the space on the passenger side was empty. After internally exploding:

What daddy said was: “Ok, Liam, climb in on daddy’s side. The car next to us is pretty close.”

What daddy meant to say was: “Liam, people are morons. This is a part of life. Have little faith in most people. Take, for example, this a-hole. This person obviously is too stupid to be allowed to get out of bed or, even worse, they don’t give a rat’s as* about anyone but themselves. This is life, son, time to start getting used to it.”
